Dec 26, 2013 - Shipping Boxes and Christmas Trees
As the holiday winds down, many of us will have additional trash and recycling considerations we'll need to observe. Here are some things to remember.
Shipping Boxes: All cardboard must be broken down and placed in the recycling bins outside. Cardboard is not permitted in the dumpster per city ordinance. Please remove all Styrofoam and plastic from boxes.
Christmas Trees: On January 9, 2014, Salem's citywide curbside Christmas Tree Collection will take place. After 6pm on the night before, place your tree on the Northend Ave or Symonds St curb for pickup. Pine needles in the common areas must be removed. Failure to do so will result in fines.
Wrapping Paper, Gift Boxes, etc.: All wrapping paper, gift boxes, and anything that can be torn must be recycled and cannot be placed in the dumpster.
If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact the board or management. For more info on trash and recycling, see Section 6 of our Rules and Regulations at http://www.pickeringnorth.com/rules-regulations or the City of Salem’s recycling page at http://www.salem.com/Pages/SalemMA_Recycling/whatrecycled
Thank you for you cooperation with making this process hassle-free for everyone.
