May 9, 2013 - Trespassing and Security
While we haven’t had any confirmed incidents of any unauthorized people inside our building, we did have what appeared to be a homeless man in the unlocked part of the foyer area where the mailboxes are.
As a precaution, we wanted to remind everyone that this is a secured building and no one should hold the door or grant entry to anyone unknown to them.
Do not buzz or let people in unless they are your guests.
If someone buzzes you and says that they “forgot their key”, “are delivering food” (for another unit), “are a building contractor” or any other reason, please go downstairs and let them in manually to make sure they are who they say they are. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, do not let them in. Please stay on the side of caution.
Buzzing strangers into the building compromises the security of the building and the safety of your neighbors.
